The Counseling Program

Welcome back everyone! Mrs. Nole and Mrs. Collins are excited to be back again as a part of the Emerick Elementary team. We are both full time counselors here and it is going to be a great year.

We have many different and fun activities planned to help the students of this school learn and grow. Our job is to work with students, families, and teachers to help your children be good students, good citizens, but most of all, good people.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Emerick Elementary school counseling program is to support the administrative team, teachers, parents, and the community to foster academic, career, and personal/social development. By doing so, we can help the students at Emerick find and reach their ultimate potential.

Jenny Collins

My name is Jenny Collins and I am so glad to be one of the Emerick School Counselors! This year I will be working with 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades. I love making fun movies and puppet shows for my students to help them learn and grow as individuals. I am also a strong advocate for expressive art and using that as a tool to process one's feelings.

I have been working in Loudoun County as a school counselor for six years now. I attended Towson University in Baltimore, MD and received a Bachelors in Social Science. After that, I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and received my Masters in School Counseling.

In my free time, I love all things involving nature and the outdoors. I like to bike, rock climb, hike, camp, rollerblade, cross country ski, run, and white water raft. I also love traveling with my family across the world and country!

Amy Nole

Hi Emerick families!!! I am excited to continue working with all the students and families this year. This is my 12th year as an Emerick Eagle and my 17th year in education. This year I will be working with Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades.

I was born and raised outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary education and psychology from Mercyhurst College. I then attended George Mason University to earn my master's degree in school counseling.

I currently reside in Winchester, VA where I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, Ellianna and Sydney.

I look forward to working with you all to ensure all our Emerick Eagles grow in their academic, personal/social, and career development!

Feel free to reach out any time.
