The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Department of Teaching & Learning has information for all 8th graders about the various special programs available to them as Rising 9th grade students here. 

These programs include:

• Academies of Loudoun (AET & AOS) - part of LCPS

  • Application due October 16 at Noon

  • Apply to ACL here

• Health and Medical Science Academy (HAMSci) - part of LCPS

  • Application open December 1 and due January 31

• International Baccalaureate (IB) - part of LCPS

  • Application open December 1 and due January 31

• Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) - part of LCPS

  • Application open December 1 and due January 31

• Applications for the above (HAMSci, IB, NJROTC) will be located in LCPSGo under Student Opportunities on December 1st

• Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ) - part of FCPS

  • Application opens October 21 and is due November 15 at 4:00 p.m.
