Vision Statement
The vision of Stone Hill Middle School’s comprehensive school counseling program is for students to develop the appropriate interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to navigate daily challenges within school. Here at Stone Hill we envision an atmosphere where cultural differences are acknowledged. We empower students to develop both academically and social-emotionally. Stingrays strive to uphold their commitment of equity, social justice, responsibility, empathy, and being upstanding lifelong learners. Our hope is for students to become members of society who positively impact their community both in school and beyond the classroom.

Mission Statement
The mission of Stone Hill Middle School’s comprehensive school counseling program is to facilitate a climate where every student is able to learn, achieve and build positive relationships. School counselors will foster a developmental, data-driven, equitable program to meet the academic, career, and social/emotional needs of our diverse population. In collaboration with all stakeholders, our department will promote a climate for student success and prepare students for the world beyond the classroom. This collaborative effort toward the development of positive school culture will allow students to gain the necessary skills to reach their personal and academic potential and become knowledgeable critical thinkers, communicators, collaborators, creators and contributors in their community.

Laura Andrews

EL and Spectrum Counselor

Hi parents!  My name is Laura Andrews, and I am a new counselor at Stone Hill.  I recently relocated to Ashburn from Florida where I was a middle school counselor in Broward County.  I will be working primarily with Spectrum and EL students, but my door is always open for any Stone Hill student or parent.
