English Learning (EL) in Loudoun County Public Schools is a multi-faceted, K-12 program that enables specially trained and licensed teachers to mentor and instruct young learners by emphasizing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

The diversity of students, representing more than 17 languages and many countries, allows teachers to blend specialized instructional strategies and techniques designed to maximize instructional time. Teachers work to provide students with a blended style of learning which simultaneously strengthens both cognitive and language development.
