Student Parking Pass Request

Thank you for your interest in a student parking pass for the 2024 2025 school year. Please read the information below in its entirety. 

Important Information

  • Valid drivers license is required.

  • Parking passes from the previous years are invalid.

  • Parking is on a first come, first served basis.

  • Parking spots are not assigned.

  • Please ensure that your parking pass is visible in your vehicle during the school day.

  • Driving down the bus lane is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action by the school administration.

  • Both forms below need to be completed to obtain a parking pass.

Forms 

  1. 2024-2025 Student Parking Pass Request Form - This request form must be completed to obtain a parking pass.

  2. Virginia High School Student Parking Pass Application - This application must be completed and turned into the THS Security. 

Parking Pass Pick Up

  • Passes can be picked up starting the first day of school, August 22nd 2024 (before School 8:30 AM - 9:25 AM and during your student's assigned lunch)

  • Please bring your LCPS High School Parking Pass Application at pick up.

  • Please bring your valid drivers license at pick up 

THS Student Parking Guidelines

Please read through the rules and acknowledge them below.

  • Students must always have a valid driver’s license on them while parked on THS property.

  • Students must register any vehicle parked on school property.

  • Parking permit must be visible and hung on the backside of the rear-view mirror.

  • Usage of another student’s parking permit is prohibited.

  • Parking in the visitor parking lot as a student prohibited

  • Once on school grounds, students will not be allowed to leave until school is dismissed or student has an early dismissal/early release.

  • Students may not sit in parked vehicles or linger in the parking area.

  • Driving down the bus lane is prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.

  • The speed limit on school property is 10 miles per hour.

  • Please keep your vehicle locked while on school grounds.

  • Vehicles parked on school property are subject to search under School Board Policy 8265

  • Traffic laws, school regulations, and normal safety procedures must always be observed.

  • Vehicles that are improperly parked, blocking fire or driving lanes, parked in the grass or constitute a safety hazard, may be tagged, ticketed, booted, or towed at the expense of the owner – this includes those without a properly displayed parking permit.

*Violations of any these guidelines may result in revocation of parking privilege and/or other disciplinary action. All rules and expectations apply when on school property.

Class of 2025!

To enhance school spirit, extend the positive atmosphere of the school, and develop class camaraderie, Seniors will be allowed to paint a parking space in the student parking lot to positively represent our school. 

  • Complete the selection process and follow the link to the 2024 design approval form at the end of this form.

  • You will receive a confirmation to your LCPS school email from Mrs. Crawford for your design.You can pick up your parking pass with Mrs. Smart-Holcomb on the days listed below, when you come to paint your parking spot.

All steps must be completed before you begin painting.

Painting dates will be:

August 11 8:00 am - 11:00 am
August 12 8:00 am - 10:00 am
August 13 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Two additional dates may be added if needed.
