Project Based Learning
(Key Elements of One to the World Video)
Alan November was an early user of the phrase, “One to the World” when referring to implementing project based learning (PBL) in schools.
In articulating the key elements of One to the World (OttW) LCPS, Superintendent Eric Williams was greatly influenced by the work of the Buck Institute for Education (BIE) and Phil Schlechty. The key elements of OttW are:

How do teachers engage students in 21st Century Learning through Project Based Learning (PBL)?
As the United States continues to compete in a global economy that demands innovation, schools and educators will provide PBL through rich content, and a variety of online tools, resources, and technology. PBL fuses the 3Rs and 4Cs through a Relevant, Rigorous, and Responsive curriculum that engages students in solving complex problems and utilizes Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity (Visit P21).
