Family & Consumer Science (FACS) is all about preparing students to be valuable members of their community. In FACS students explore important facets of life including building healthy family and interpersonal relationships, cooking basics, consumer resources, money management, clothing care, home organization, and career investigations and workplace readiness.

At Blue Ridge Middle all students take Introduction to FACS in 7th grade and have the option to take 8th grade FACS as an elective.  In 8th grade FACS students have the opportunity to dive deeper into the subject areas listed above.
