The Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national, nonprofit organization for middle and high school students with a strong interest in technology. Since TSA was chartered in 1978, over 2,000,000 students have participated.

The Briar Woods Technology Students Association is an international student organization that is devoted to supporting and advancing the achievement of students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). There are yearly competitive events and leadership opportunities that correlate with the national STEM standards at the Regional, State, and National levels.

Mission

The Technology Student Association fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design, and engineering. Members apply and integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities, competitive events and related programs.

Club Membership

Thank you to all the students that came out last week to our interest meeting. We are all excited to kick off the 2023-24 TSA Club and VEX Robotics Team. Students who would like to become members of the Briar Woods High School TSA Club and/ or VEX Robotics Team need to review and submit the required items listed below. 

  1. Students and parents need to review the Chapter handbook and then complete the online membership form.

  2. Submit Club Dues: $15.00 (Robotics Team members may need to contribute more to purchase a new robot, depending on number of interested students). Dues can be paid through the online payment portal in the fall of the school year. The payment link can be found here.Payment Portal

Please note: 

All Members - additional fees may be collected depending on the success of our fundraising events throughout the year, see the Dues/ Fees section of the Chapter Handbook linked above.

Robotics Team - additional fees may be collected depending on how many students join as we may need to purchase an additional robot.

Membership is not final until both the #1 - online membership form and your dues have both been submitted and received.

Dues and Forms may be submitted up until October 29, 2022. However, students may not participate in any TSA or Robotics activities until all forms are turned in and dues have been paid.

Lastly, we will contact you via Remind about our first meeting once we nail down dates and times. Yes, there will be some flexibility in meeting times as we all know we have a million things to do.
