Library Book Club

Photo of book opened

Each year we read several of the books nominated for this school year's Virginia Readers' Choice Award and the Loudoun County Public Library's 1book 1community selection for the year. The book club selections each year are chosen based on input from the previous year's book club members from the list of the next year's nominated titles. Writers consider the Virginia Readers' Choice Award a top literary prize because students select the winning book.

At our last meeting, each qualified voter has one vote for their favorite book. A tally sheet will be prepared and submitted by the librarians to the Virginia State Literacy Association (formerly the Virginia State Reading Association), sponsors of the award.

Club Sponsors

The club sponsors are Sandra Hood and Laura Haft. They can be reached at Sandra Hood and Laura Haft.
