All students in Grades K-5 attend art class once a week for 50 minutes. During our time together we will explore many wonderful art mediums. These include drawing, painting, printmaking, fiber arts, collage, sculpture, and more. The art program emphasizes a hands-on approach to learning the visual arts, which is enriched by integrating art history, art criticism, aesthetics, and self-reflection. We follow guidelines from the LCPS Art Curriculum and Virginia SOLs which are based on the National Standards for Art Education.
