My name is Carol Corrado and I am one of Guilford's reading specialists. This is my ninth year at Guilford, but my first as a reading specialist! I am excited to help our students build their literacy skills and discover the joy of reading!

I grew up just across the Potomac River in Silver Spring, Maryland. I earned my B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland, and completed my Master's degree in Reading from George Mason University. I live in Ashburn with my husband, two kids, and two dogs. 

My name is Julie Doubleday and I am one of the Reading Specialists at Guilford.

I have been teaching for over 30 years in VA, PA, CA and AZ - Reading Specilaist, Reading Recovery Teacher, 1st grade, 5th Grade, and Middle School Reading Coordinator.  

I am originally from Ridgway, PA but, really enjoy all that VA has to offer.

In my spare time, I like to travel, hike, garden, knit/crochet, and of course read.

I am really looking forward to working with the students, staff, and families this year!

Hello! My name is Amy Rice and this will be my third year as a reading specialist at Guilford. Prior to teaching at Guilford, I taught 5th grade for seven years in LCPS. I am looking forward to another year of inspiring the students and staff at Guilford with my passion for reading and writing.
