My name is Linda Gantz, and I am excited about joining the Guilford Gator Family as the Math Resource Teacher! I am looking forward to working with the amazing staff and students from kindergarten through fifth grade!
This is my 33rd year as an educator. Prior to Guilford, I taught mathematics at the Academy of Science since 2011 and helped open the Academies of Loudoun in 2018.
I am a National Board Certified Teacher who has been teaching mathematics in the United States and abroad since graduating from Rutgers University in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. I completed my Ph D in Educational Leadership from George Mason University in 2010. I received an NSF Grant to complete my Masters of Science in Teaching Mathematics at the University of Wyoming.
My husband Peter and I live in Sterling with our family. My daughter Mikaela is in her second year in college and it is my son Carter’s senior year in high school! We have a dog Hero and two cats Allie & Annie.
I am thankful for the amazing opportunities I have had working in STEM education, and I look forward to using my knowledge of and passion for mathematics to help students learn and grow through inquiry, communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and contribution. I look forward to new traditions at Guilford as well as new opportunities to share my passion with my new school community! Go Gators!
