The match, which unfolded on the Titans’ home turf, began with the hosts seizing a quick 2-0 lead. However, the Captains, undeterred by the early setback, rallied back with poise and power, securing an 11-6 advantage by halftime. The spotlight shone brightly on Junior Mikey Richardson, whose remarkable performance led to a staggering ELEVEN goals, shattering his own school record for the most goals in a single game. The Titans’ resurgence in the third quarter posed a challenge, but the Captains’ resolve held firm, and they triumphed with an 18-12 victory.
The Captains’ journey continued as they hosted the VHSL state quarterfinals at the esteemed LCHS Sonny Pearson Stadium.
