Mr. Lacey is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated from McDonogh #35 Senior High School. Mr. Lacey began his career in Education in 2000, transitioned to LCPS in 2010 and in 2018 became the Principal at Leesburg Elementary. Mr. Lacey's background includes Secondary Education, certified in LD, BD and ED, middle school math, science and history and high school administration.  Mr. Lacey received Education and Leadership degrees from Mercer University, Strayer University, and George Mason University. When away from school, Mr. Lacey enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf and cooking. He is a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan, which makes him a proud member of the "Who Dat" Nation.

In 2018, I became Principal of Leesburg Elementary, I am excited about the opportunity to lead such an amazing team of educators and working with the Leesburg community. I take pride in the accomplishment's of the past as they motivate me to collaborate and strive for more each day. The Leesburg community has become home and it is a pleasure to watch the growth and development of our students.

In the 2024-25 school year, we are continuing our efforts to be "difference makers" in the lives of our families and are looking for way to ensure that our students "SOAR with Four- LES Eagles are Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind".

Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, Dr. Elanyna Clokes has called Virginia home for more than 15 years. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Old Dominion University (Go Monarchs!) in Norfolk, VA. She earned a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in curriculum development and instruction from Nova Southeastern University (Go Sharks!) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Clokes is certified in Elementary Education PreK-6 and ELL PreK-12. Dr. Clokes completed the postgraduate program at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. to earn an certification in Administration and Supervision PreK-12.  She is also a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). 

Dr. Clokes has worked in public education for more than 20 years. She previously taught 2nd - 6th grade in Florida and Virginia. Prior to joining the amazing staff at Leesburg Elementary, Dr. Clokes was a teacher leader in Loudoun County Public Schools for 15 years. Most recently, she was an Assistant Principal in Winchester, VA. Dr. Clokes is thrilled to be back in LCPS as a member of the Leesburg Elementary FamiLEE. A self-proclaimed life-long learner with a passion for curriculum, a heart for collaboration, and a focus on success for ALL, Dr. Clokes is looking forward to a year filled with academic growth and heartfelt memories.

Dr. Clokes lives in Stephenson, VA with her husband, Damian, and her thirteen year old son, Deacon. Outside of school Dr. Clokes enjoys cooking/baking, shopping for bargains online, and volunteering in the local community. On weekends and during longer breaks, Dr. Clokes can be found traveling via RV across the US and Canada with her two favorite guys.
