Tammy Nemish ~ Physical Education Specialist

Mrs. Nemish is excited to start her fourth year at Leesburg Elementary as a member of the FamiLEE. She will be working in the Eagle Physical Education Department, teaching kindergarten through 5th grade. She will be entering her 22nd year of teaching starting her 18th year in Loudoun County. She received her bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education from Virginia Commonwealth University where she also played on the women's basketball team. Her master's degree is in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania and Mrs. Nemish is currently on her last year before obtaining her Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in women and heart disease awareness. Mrs. Nemish also received her National Board Certification in Physical Education - Early and Middle Childhood in 2012. Mrs. Nemish loves teaching students how to take care of themselves through health, fitness and wellness as well as being active everyday! She loves making class fun with content filled movement activities! She also loves to play all sports especially basketball, volleyball and loves weight training. Her favorite team is the Washington Capitals! ROCK THE RED!!! Mrs. Nemish is looking forward to soar with the Eagles family- staff, students, parents and community because "WE ARE LEESBURG"!
