CyberPatriot Competition Club

CyberPatriot is the premier national high school cyber defense competition that is designed to give hands-on exposure to the foundations of cyber security.  It was created by the Air Force Association to excite high school students about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.

CyberPatriot is not a hacking competition.  It teachers only defensive means of fixing vulnerabilities and hardening systems while maintaining critical services.  The competition scenario places students as newly hired IT professionals who need to manage the network of a small company.

Teams of 6 competitors (5 competitors and 1 alternate) compete in two practice and three scored 6-hour competitions to secure different computer vulnerabilities with Windows, Windows Server, and/or Ubuntu (Linux) images.  Teams meet with our mentors  to learn about navigating and securing sample images on a virtual machine.
