Principal Dr. Kate Puschak-Ridgeway

Lowes Island Learning Leopards,

I am ecstatic to be the Principal at Lowes Island Elementary School! I will be entering my 20th year of education and my third full year as a principal. I was previously the Assistant Principal at Arcola Elementary before joining the Leopard family. I have 9 years of teaching experience in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade from my time spent in Henrico County in Richmond, Virginia. My administrative experiences include resource teacher, Director of Operations and Student Services, and associate principal.

I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and visit my family often. I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Marywood University with a concentration in Elementary Education with a minor in special education. I earned my Masters of Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership/Administration as well as my Doctor of Educational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching and playing sports, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite place to unwind is on the beach with a good book in my hands.

I am passionate about education and look forward to working with our Leopards! For me, it always starts with relationships! I am ready to serve all our students, staff, and parents in this incredible community! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Your PROUD Principal,

Dr. Puschak-Ridgeway
